Paranormal Activity: The Marked Ones, the scary series’ first spin-off film, the plot begin at a normal party in Oxnard, California in June 2012. Then, after a woman dies in the apartment below the party, some revelers take their camera (of course) and investigate. They find the sorts of things that accompany black-magic rituals and pictures of one of the partygoers; one partier finds what looks like a bite on his arm when he wakes up and then discovers he has inexplicable powers. Then the horror begins.

Originally called The Oxnard Tapes (and still set in the city north of Los Angeles), this is a take on the franchise that targets Latin American audiences, while still staying within the same Paranormal universe. This time, teenagers learn of a neighbour’s death and go exploring the crime scene. They soon wish they hadn’t when one starts developing strange abilities and experiencing lost time.
Paranormal Activity: The Marked Ones” was originally billed as a Hispanic-centric side story. However, while this may not be a direct sequel, it still plays a very important role in the “Paranormal Activity” franchise. It not only expands the narrative universe of the series, but it also offers some shocking revelations. The film centers on a teenager named Jesse (Andrew Jacobs) and his best friend Hector(Jorge Diaz) right as they’re graduating from high school.
Given how inexpensive the Supernatural Action movies are to generate, and their comparative reputation, it seems like the ghostly practice will not be avoiding any moment soon, unless one of the sequels controls to total less than even the few thousand that comprises the price range for it. A desire to take advantage of this productivity may be the reason why there are currently two Supernatural Action movies in production: immediate follow up Supernatural Action 5 and Latino spin-off Supernatural Activity: The Noticeable Ones.
